Charlie Jourcin is a Production Design student at the Savannah College of Art and Design, concentrating in Set Design. Born in France but with an upbringing across Africa and Asia, Charlie brings her multi-cultural perspective to every space she builds.
At the core of Charlie's practice is a commitment to working with found objects, discarded materials, and organic elements — in pursuit of sustainability and as a commentary on societal issues such as overconsumption.
Charlie has designed and built sets for student film productions and small-scale theatrical performances, and has gained hands-on experience observing an internship at a theater during a professional circus production at Le Foirail de Pau.
In aligment with her values she has volunteered at Bright Side Projects for many years and now volunteers with SCADserve on a weekly basis.
